Photo exhibition: “Entre Venècia i Tossa: Mirades de Carnaval”

Date: 23/01/26, Friday   Place: Casa de Cultura (cloisters)   Time: 17:00 h

 

Opening of the photo exhibition of some carnivals throught the eyes of Antonio Lo Vullo, a Venetian settled in Tossa.

 

This exhibition will remain open until the 23rd. of February, from Monday to Friday.

Carnival parade

Date: 28/02/26, Saturday      Place:  Rambla Joan Maragall       Time: 16:30 h

Beginning of the 49th. Gran Rua de la Ressaca del Carnaval at Rambla Joan Maragall – Av. Ferran Agulló – Av. Catalunya (arrival at the firefighter station).

Afterwards, SAMBÒDROM at the sports pavillion. Then, music played by DJ de Marco Emiliani.

Finally, FESTA AFTER PREMIS – End of the Carnival party with DJ Jorge Peñafiel.

 

 

The Women’s Museum

The Womens Museum was opened in 2020 with the intention of recreating and explaining the life of Tossa before the beginning of tourism and its transformation, always from the place occupied by women. The building that hosts this museum is a lovely exemple of a 16th. century farmhouse.

Lighthouse’s museum

Built in 1917 in the highest part of Tossa’s Cape, it is currently the headquarters of the new museum project “Tossa’s Lighthouse. A century of maritime history on the Costa Brava“, a reference space for anyone interested in obtaining a profound insight into the world of lighthouses.

Monday: CLOSED

From Tuesday to Saturday: 10:00 – 17:00 h

Sunday: 10:00 – 16:00  h

Municipal Museum

It occupies the former residence of the batlle de sac,  that is to say the governor, and preserves an important collection of art and a large part of the archaeological finds of the Roman villa of Els Ametllers.
